Does sickle cell day have a color that we could wear that day or a ribbon that we could give to help raise awareness?

We must remember that Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) reduces the patients' life expectancy by 20 - 30 years according to CDC report. We thank God for His grace and mercies on all us including the researchers and the scientists who are working hard in different institutions to find a permanent cure to this disease. Please let us all come out in mass and support all those living and still fighting this disease and remember those fallen souls as we also celebrate the progress we have all made in the prevention and treatment of this disease through medical science.------------------ I-jay

World Sickle Cell Day is important! We must remember that people all over the world suffer with this disease. Sickle cell is a blood disorder NOT a race disorder.
